Over thirty companies take part in Baksa job fair

A large job fair held in Baksa this week drew more than thirty participating companies. Organised by the district employment department, the fair saw around two thousand candidates turn up.

"We managed to hand out roughly two hundred on-the-spot offer letters in a single day, which is a very satisfying outcome for us," a department official said.

"I'd been job-hunting for a long time. Getting an offer letter from a banking company here today feels great," one young woman who received an offer said.

Companies from the banking, insurance, retail and IT sectors conducted initial interviews at the fair. Follow-up interview rounds have been scheduled for the remaining candidates.

District officials say they plan to hold such fairs twice a year, so local youth don't need to migrate elsewhere for work.
